It's Bike Month! Are you looking for fun cycling activities, or to connect with other residents who enjoy active transportation and want safe roads? Here's a brief roundup of upcoming events around Toronto organized by Community Bikeways and our advocacy partners. SCARBOROUGH June 13, Saturday, 2-4pm, Bike Festival. Scarborough Junction Community & West Scarborough Rail Trail (WSRT). Warden Hilltop Community Centre. Support our partners by attending this fun, family event, which includes a bike rodeo, bike repairs and tuneups, bike decorating and a bike parade. We've been working with these groups to call on City Hall to close ten remaining gaps in the 75km Loop Trail and to complete a connected 25km Scarborough arm of The Loop that would allow people to ride from the waterfront to the Rouge National Park.
ETOBICOKE June 20, Saturday, 10am to 2pm: Islington Bike Day, Mabelle Park Join us for our 3rd annual event at Mabelle Park with our partners Etobicoke Climate Action, Friends of Tom Riley Park, and MabelleArts. This is a day of fun cycling-related activities with free bike tune-ups, a group ride of local bikeways, tricycle races with prizes, children's activities, and get-to-know-your-bike workshops. Koffee on The Kingsway takes place every second Friday (7:30-9:15am) at a local coffee shop along Bloor Street W near Royal York Rd. June 12 - Second Cup. June 26 - Café de Flor. THORNCLIFFE/FLEMINGDON PARK June 27, Saturday, 9am, Canada Day group ride in support of Thorncliffe Park Autism Support Network (TPASN). Meet at Thorncliffe Public Library, 48 Thorncliffe Park Dr. Join us for a 15km family group ride of local bikeways in the Thorncliffe & Flemingdon Park neighbourhoods and the nearby Don Valley. Decorate your bike for Canada Day! Visit TPASN/Women's Cycling Network website for more info or to contribute to their fundraising efforts for an autism camp for local children.

We will explore bikeways in the Mount Dennis and Weston area, including along Eglinton Ave and the Humber River.
