Light Up Toronto

Road Safety Walk, Roll, and Ride

Date and Time

Sunday, October 2 at 7 PM.

Location

Leaving from Ramsden Park (across from Rosedale Station) and proceeding along Yonge to Dundas Square.

Objectives

To demonstrate to City Council candidates our:

  • resolve and determination to bring about-

    • safe streets in Toronto;

    • a commitment to lower road speeds;

    • the tripling of Vision Zero capital funding;

    • the reallocation of road space to transit, walking, and cycling, including cross-town cycle tracks; and

  • belief that a future featuring safer roads for all is within reach.

Our calls to action are set out here. They’ve been sent to the candidates, with 26 sign-ons so far.

Lights (e.g., cell phones, lamps, lanterns, flashlights, bike lights, decorative lights) and anything else that helps us light up Toronto for safe streets!
